The eBECAS version 7 web portal is designed for quick web access for students and teachers, reducing the demand on staff to answer front desk inquires and telephone calls. Teachers or administrators can easily mark attendance, display student diaries and make diary and absence entries.
How this is done? EIT provides an application that synchronizes data between your internet database and your College's eBecas database so student and staff can login via the internet and see their own information.
Students are able to see news, personal communications from staff (administration and warnings), classes, results, attendance and financials including invoices and outstanding fees.
Teachers can login and view and update attendance and class rolls online, enter comments for absence and enter and view student diary entries.
Each College is given a web address that can be imbedded in your own College website. There are 2 separate logins for each College. A web portal student login and a web portal teacher login.

If a student has not already used the eBECAS Student Portal, then they must use the lower button and register. Registration requires the student to enter their full eight character student number and first name. An email will be sent to the student's email address which contains an autogenerated password.
If the student has their student number and password, they can login. After login the first screen displayed is the Student News:
My News

The Student news is entered by the College and is updated using a separate administrative account provided for each College to tailor their news for all students. The News items can include html references to other sites.
As well as new items displayed, on the top right corner, fees outstanding and any unread personal message total is displayed.
My Messages

The My Messages area displays any messages specifically for the student. The student can also send a message to the College from the Student Portal. The email address for student messages to be received can be setup by the College.

The My Details area displays the address and contact details that the College has on file for the student. The student can edit and change or correct the details. This is not automatically changed, but an email is sent to a administrator College defined email address with the change details, for the staff using eBECAs to check and update. Any updates entered into eBECAS is automatically updated and synchronised with the website student details.
My Classes

The My Classes lists both Language and Academic Student Classes. A student can be enrolled in multiple courses so a selection can be made to display the Classes for a particular enrolment. The enrolment start and end date is also displayed.
The class details for Language Classes, include session name, class name, room and teacher, and overall english level of the class.
My Fees

If any fees are outstanding and due, the invoice amount and due date are listed.
My Enrolments

The course name, course code, start date, end date, current attendance and overall attendance and course status are listed for all courses.
My Results

The Academic Course stubject / module result is displayed for the enrolment.
